Dinner at “Coffeenity”

A night of coffee and chill on a weekend can easily take away the stress you earned from a whole week of work.

Last night was an easy stress reliever hanging out with the gang. We originally met at Starbucks but one of us was hungry and I was kinda, too, so we went to Coffeenity Co., a nearby cafe that served more than coffee and snacks.

We were all first timers here. I didn’t know what to expect, though my eyes were easily captured by the- I don’t know how to best describe it, vintage kind of design of this cafe where it featured a retro styled CD player with turntable on top. Ugh.. just look at the image to see what I’m talking about.

The place currently features extra decorations for Halloween.

I think they don’t have the Dark Mocha Frappe that I usually order in any cafe and the Mocha Cheesecake they have there didn’t sound interesting to me so I had Coffee Jelly instead. My girlfriend said it was too sweet. I liked it, though, because.. coffee. But it was actually sweet enough to have some dessert. I might wanna try some of that next time.

The small stage setup is not just part of the design. Although we didn’t see one yesterday, there are actually local acoustic singers who come here to perform. You can see some videos on their Facebook page.

They also serve “silog” meals which is a combination of “sinangang”(fried rice) and “itlog”(egg) sided with other dishes of your choice. Our orders were Longsilog(with ”longganisa” or sausage), and then Hotsilog and Spamsilog. I bet you could figure that out. 😉 I would say it’s a plus that they serve meals here.

Another plus is that it wasn’t too cold inside. For about three hours, we stayed there just chatting and laughing.

If you’re the type who likes wasting hours at Starbucks with one frappe and somehow finds yourself wanting to eat something a bit heavier than pastries, I’d recommend Coffeenity Co. in Malolos, Bulacan if you’re in town. They’re cheaper. You wouldn’t wanna expect the same taste that Starbucks provides, though, but they’re definitely worth a try.

Some of these problems are obvious, others not thus.
